Ocean Scavenger Hunt

This scavenger hunt is to be used to introduce a unit about oceans. Within each site there is information that you will need to find and write on the fact sheet. This scavenger hunt is meant to introduce the topic ocean. This scavenger hunt is based on the AZ state standard for Science for the 4th and 5th grades. This standard is: 4SC-E7. Explain and model the interaction and interdependence of living and non-living components within ecosystems, including the adaptation of plants and animals to their environment. When students sit down at the computer to begin the lesson they will click on the icon for ocean scavenger hunt on the desktop. Students will have a fact sheet to fill in when they visit each site. Teachers should print out fact sheet for students.

pictures to discover about different species.
Sail over to Marine
Mammal Stranding Center website and learn about different seals.
Submerge to Ocean
Planet and learn about Alvin. Click on Alvin.
Swim down to Biodiversity
and click on the picture of the statue and learn about different sea
creatures. Search for the red algae.
